I work through material, experiment and awareness. In my practice I explore the unstable boarder between the flat surface and spatiality through painting, drawing and installation.
I am drawn to piles. To their chaos and how seperate elements relate to one another within an accumulation. My work emerges from chain reactions of chance and intention and explores how the meaning of things change when they encounter one another.
This interplay between chance and structure shapes my painting process. Gestures, lines, and layers accumulate, interrupt one another, and respond to each other. I am interested in moment the work starts to guide itself, and chaos slowly forms into a new order.
