Artist statement

I draw with shapes, colours, and materials. This results in installations that extend across floors and walls. I move fluidly between two-dimensional and three-dimensional spaces, allowing them to converse and inform one another. The physicality of my work is essential: I need to feel the forms, engage with the materials, and perceive the true colors.

I work entirely intuitively. Materials and colors inform one another, as if they have a voice—one that I listen to and translate into a visual language. Led by spatial awareness I switch back and forth between micro level with focus on detail to helicopter view of the whole. The outcome of combining elements sparks the next, which result in chain reaction of events. My works are a result of these chain reactions, a constant search for balance.

Each work acts as a mirror, inviting viewers to find their own path through them. What you see, and where you go, is up to you.
